Resources For Community Groups
We have gathered together what we think are a range of useful resources to learn about archaeology in general and prehistory. Do have a browse through them, and we’re always updating them!

Books On The Paleolithic
We have gathered together a range of archaeology resources for you to get to grips with the subject of prehistory and here are some books, websites and more on the Palaeolithic both in Britain and the rest of the world.

Books On The Neolithic
The Neolithic in Britain is perhaps the most interesting period of prehistory – a period of firsts. It is the time when the first monuments are created, the first buildings appear, the first pottery is made and the first signs of agriculture are seen. In these books some of those fundamental changes to ancient ways of life are detailed and discussed.

Bryn Celli Ddu – A Neolithic Chambered Tomb
Bryn Celli Ddu – the name means Mound in the Dark Grove – is the best-known prehistoric monument on the island of Anglesey, if not Wales. This is an impressive monument even if it has a partially restored entrance passage and mound.

Web Resources
There is an awful lot of material out there on the web about archaeology. So we’ve put together a webilography for you! From the prehistory of Britain and Europe to Ancient Egypt to the Maya, and quite frankly some of it is awful! To save you some time and trouble we have gathered together some of the better and, in some cases more academic, sites that should help you get to grips with the subject matter.
